Triocular microscopes

LHP™ Inverted Fluorescence Microscope

(The recommended microscope for cell culture)

An advanced microscope for cell culture in culture flasks, tubes, microplates, etc (also suitable for applications in biology, cell cytology, oncology, genetics, and immunology. Equipped with brightfield and phase contrast technology, this trinocular microscope is ideally suited for use in research institutes, universities, and medical establishments. The microscope is supplied with four fluorescence filter sets, one each of blue, green, violet, and ultraviolet.

Microscope includes six 50mm LWD (long working distance) objectives: three planachromatic (10x, 25x, and 40x magnification) and three phase contrast planachromatic (10x, 25x, and 40x magnification). Microscope also features a six-position nosepiece, a 45° inclined trinocular head, and a 10x/20mm widefield eyepiece. Standard components ensure crisp, high-quality images in either brightfield or phase contrast mode. Illumination is provided by 100W of reflected mercury light and the transmitted light of a 6V, 30W halogen lamp with iris diaphragm offering adjustable brightness. The condenser assembly can be rotated away from the stage to accommodate larger vessels.

Interpupilar distance adjustable 55-77 mm

A large stage surface increases specimen access. The 22.5x21cm mechanical stage can be moved 11.2x7.9cm, or removed entirely for use with larger culture vessels. Coaxial coarse and fine focusing with tension adjustment provide precise control.

The digital still/video cameras feature image analysis software that offers powerful functions for image or movie capturing, adjusting, operating, and measuring. Camera 82030-634 offers a resolution of 640x480 (VGA) and 1280x1024 (SXGA). Camera 97010-076 offers a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 (SXGA). Camera 97048-976 offers a maximum resolution of 2592x1944 (SXGA). Camera 97048-978 offers a maximum resolution of 3488x2616 (SXGA). Use color filters 82026-452 and 82026-492 to enhance color and contrast of specimens.

Ordering Information: Microscope is supplied with eyepiece 82026-473; objectives 82026-557, 82026-559; and filters 82026-452 and 82026-492. All objectives can also be used as replacements on any microscope with a 160mm DIN tube length. Cameras are supplied with auto and color white balancing, microscope adapter, a USB cable, a driver CD, and a 12.7mm (1/2") sensor. Cameras require the use of Windows® 2000 or XP, and a USB 2.0 compatible port.

LHP™ Upright Compound Microscopes with Planacromatic or Acromatic Objectives

https://media.vwr.com/stibo/web/4759224.jpg

Microscopes feature exceptional contrast and resolution, brilliant uniform illumination, and highly durable mechanical elements. The viewing head is of the Siedentopf design with single diopter adjustment. The 6V, 20W Koehler illumination provides uniform intensity and the 1.25 Numerical Aperture (N.A.) Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm allows precise centering of the light path. Four-function focusing includes focus stop to protect slides/specimens and tension adjustment to prevent slippage.

Microscopes with planachromatic or achromatic objectives are ideal for research settings. Their large frames provide a stable, vibration-free base, facilitating viewing and image documentation. A large, coaxial mechanical stage with precise 2.0µm graduations, ultra-low controls, and a five-position reverse pitch objective turret make it easy to load slides and locate specimens. The planachromatic objectives provide sharp, flat images to the periphery of the field of view, minimizing spherical and chromatic aberrations. The achromatic objectives are ideal for samples like liquids and IC wafers that require a longer working distance. Microscopes are designed for long hours of observation without fatigue.

All microscopes are supplied with 4x, 10x, 40xR, and 100xR (oil) objectives. The 40xR and 100xR (oil) objectives feature a retractable lens. The N.A. is 0.10 for 4x objectives, 0.25 for 10x objectives, and 0.65 for the 40xR and 100xR (oil) objectives. Microscopes also include a 10x Super-Widefield Eyepiece (20mm), Blue Filter, and Clear Frost Filter.

Use the achromatic and planachromatic objectives for brightfield or phase contrast instruments, as indicated. The digital still/video cameras feature image analysis software that offers powerful functions for image or movie capturing, adjusting, operating, and measuring. Camera82030-634 offers a resolution of 640x480 (VGA) and 1280x1024 (SXGA). Use kit 82026-570 to convert a standard brightfield microscope to a phase contrast microscope. These kit includes three phase contrast objectives (10x, 40x, and 100x), a Zernike-type phase contrast turret condenser, a phase centering telescope, and instructions. The polarized light kit 82026-456 is ideal for asymmetrical substances. The kit is equipped with a polarizer and an analyzer, allowing analysis of specimens through birefringence or double refraction, revealing both physical details and refraction characteristics.
